To offer customers greater visibility and immediate updates on their utility bill payments, Askari Bank and K-Electric (KE) have recently collaborated to implement a real-time bill payment system (RTPS).
This system will interlink Askari Bank’s branches with KE, streamlining transaction processes and routing on a real-time basis. The integration enhances KE’s bill payment system and will accelerate the process of real-time bill inquiry and bill payment collection services at Askari bank branches. It also creates a secure environment for customers to conduct their billing transactions. The platform also serves to automate bill collection operations and ensure that transactions are executed from banking sources in a uniform, secure, and efficient manner.
At the launch of RTPS at AKBL branches, Syed Ali Naqvi, Chief Digital Officer, AKBL, said, “We are delighted to collaborate with K-Electric to deploy a real-time payment system across Askari Bank branches, bringing innovative digital payment solutions to our esteemed customer base. I believe that this multifaceted partnership between Askari Bank and K-Electric will not only help us in strengthening our bond with customers but also expedite our progress towards digitization.”

Present at the launch ceremony were the Chief Digital Officer of AKBL, the Chief Distribution Officer of KE, and other senior executives from both organizations.
