“Askari Digital Wallet” is a mobile financial service to cater the needs of unbanked segment of Pakistan. It aims to promote financial inclusion vision of State Bank of Pakistan.

Askari Digital Wallet is a branchless banking account tagged to your mobile number which becomes your bank account. It provides convenience for mobile phone users to securely send and receive money, pay bills, educational fee, donations, mobile top-ups and much more.

Description Level – 0
Overview Basic BB Account with low KYC requirements and low transaction limits.
Eligibility Criteria Nadra valid CNIC holder and also a postpaid /prepaid subscriber of any PTA approved Mobile Network Operator is eligible to open Askari Digital Wallet
Transactional Limits a. Rs. 25,000 per day
b. Rs. 50,000 per month
c. Rs. 200,000 per year

Rs. 200,000/- maximum balance limit

  • The transaction limits shall be treated separately for both payments and receipts on BB Accounts
  • Limit not applicable on bill payments
  • Level-0 account holders cannot perform Account-to-Person transfers, cash in, and cash out till their Biometric Verification (BV).

1) What is Askari Digital Wallet?
Askari Digital Wallet is a branchless banking account (Mobile Account) that offers convenient access to financial services. It is registered on your Mobile number and can be used for bill payments, mobile loads, funds transfer and much more.
2) What are the charges for opening Askari Digital Wallet?
Opening of Askari Digital Wallet is free of cost for all subscribers.
3) Who can open Askari Digital Wallet?
Any Valid CNIC holder and also a postpaid/prepaid subscriber of any PTA approved Mobile Network Operator.
4) Can I have more than one Askari Digital Wallet on a single CNIC/Mobile Number?
Only one Askari Digital Wallet can be registered on a single CNIC /Mobile Number.
5) How can I access Askari Digital Wallet menu after registration?
Upon successful account opening, you can download Askari Digital Wallet Mobile App from Android & IOS play stores & enter your desired 4 digits MPIN. All transactions made from Mobile Account are secured with 4 digits MPIN.
6) What is the MPIN?
Similar to an ATM PIN, MPIN is 04 digits’ numeric value which is used to authorize all transactions from Askari Digital Wallet. Without MPIN, no transaction is possible. Refrain from sharing your Askari Digital Wallet App login credentials, MPIN or OTP with any unauthorized entity & change it regularly.
7) If I send money to anyone from Askari Digital Wallet, how much time will it take to process the transaction?
Transaction will be processed instantly.
8) If I have a Bank Account with another Bank, can I transfer money into my Askari Digital Wallet?
Yes. You can transfer money through respective Internet Banking Portals, Mobile Applications & ATM Networks. Just select Askari Bank as the beneficiary Bank Name, enter your Askari Digital Wallet as the account number & transaction amount and funds will be credited to your Mobile Account instantly.
9) Can I transfer money from my Askari Digital Wallet to any Bank Account?
Yes. You can select Beneficiary Bank, enter Beneficiary account number & transactions amount and your transaction will be completed instantly.

10) What is Transfer in and what do I require before I perform Transfer In?
If you are Askari Digital Wallet holder and have a Core Banking Account in Askari Bank, you can transfer money from your Askari Core Banking Account to your Askari Digit Wallet. You can add/update your linked Core Banking Account and subsequently this update will be verified from respective Askari Bank branch.
11) What is Transfer Out and what do I require before I perform Transfer Out?
If you are Askari Digital Wallet holder and have a Core Banking Account in Askari Bank, you can transfer money from your Askari Digital Wallet into Askari Core Bank account. You can add/update your linked Core Banking Account and subsequently this update will be verified from respective Askari Bank branch. Only one Core Banking account can be linked with Askari Digital Wallet for Transfer in/Out facility.
12) How can I receive Account Statement?
You can view your last five transactions, free of cost by using “Account Statement” option available in “My Account” Tab. Please call Askari Call Center at 111-000-787 for issuance of account statement of any specific period.
13) What if I want to MNP to another Telco operator?
You must close your Askari Digital Wallet first than you can MNP to other Telco operator.
14) What is the procedure for closing mobile account?
You can close your Askari Digital Wallet by calling Askari Call Center at 111-000-787.
15) How secure is the Askari Digital Wallet?
Askari Digital Wallet encompasses the highest level of security under regulations of the State Bank of Pakistan. Every Askari Digital Wallet has a 4-digit secret MPIN code which is required for each transaction. All transactions are encrypted for security purposes & no transaction can be made without MPIN.
16) What if I forget Askari Digital Wallet MPIN?
To reset MPIN, please call Askari Call Center at 111-000-787. Upon necessary verification you will receive temporary MPIN in SMS which must be changed on your next login.
17) If my SIM is stolen, is the Askari Digital Wallet compromised?
No, the account is never compromised because it cannot be used without secret MPIN. In case of stolen SIM, immediately call Askari Call Center at 111-000-787 to block your Askari Digital Wallet. After replacing SIM from respective Telco, please call Askari Call Center at 111-000-787 again. Upon necessary verification you will receive temporary MPIN in SMS which must be changed on your next login.
