Sohni Dharti Remittance Program

Overview

Sohni Dharti Remittance Program (SDRP) is a point-based loyalty scheme for Overseas Pakistanis who work abroad and send money to their loved ones in Pakistan through banking channels or exchange companies. It is a unique and first-ever smartphone application available in English and Urdu language that tracks and updates every remittance a remitter sends home and awards them with reward points, which can be redeemed for free-of-cost services at multiple Public Service Entities.

Key Features & Benefits

Features

  • A mobile app for SDRP is available for both Android and iOS devices.
  • The app supports both English and Urdu languages.
  • Remitters can register as the "main user" and add one SDRP beneficiary as a secondary user. They can also add up to five receivers to earn points based on their credentials in the system.
  • All remittance transactions made through the banking system, following the rules and regulations of the State Bank of Pakistan, are eligible to earn loyalty points.
  • Senders will receive loyalty points based on the amount they send (in PKR), which can be redeemed through services available via the app, provided by participating partners.
  • Financial institutions will provide daily updates on remittance transactions and usage of RDA account data.
  • Remittances received through money transfer operators (MTOs), banks under the PRI channel, and transfers via SWIFT in local PKR accounts (for personal use only) are eligible for SDRP. Funds used locally from RDA PKR and RDA foreign currency accounts are also eligible.
  • The system ensures that remitters automatically receive reward points for all their transfers, with a complaint management system in place to resolve any issues quickly.
